Hero Datafile: X-Men Blue, Jean Grey (2017)


Back in 2013, X-Men comics decided to both shakes things up and brings things back with one hell of a twist. After Cyclops turned mutant extremist and allowed the Phoenix Force to control him and, in that state, killed Charles Xavier, Beast decided the best way to set things straight was to go into the past and retrieve the original X-Men from the Silver Age to try to talk sense to Cyclops.

The original intention was a short story that was meant to be a good jumping on point for readers. However, it has become the victim of its own success and now the time displaced X-Men have remained in the present for four years of real-time, now being sold under the title of X-Men Blue (as opposed to the main timeline team, X-Men Gold).

And, personally, I’m a big fan.

Dragon World – Interview With Ewen Cluney

Back in the 90s, there was a lot of silly, fantasy anime that hit American shores. Slayers, gained a bit of a cult following among D&D fans for being “how D&D was in play.” Ewen Cluney, creator of School Girls, Magical Burst, Magical Fury, and other titles, wants to bring those silly adventures to life in his new title, Dragon World.
Using the Powered By Apocalypse Engine and lessons he learned from many years of game design, Dragon World looks to give players the wacky, zany experiences of those old shows.

I recently got a chance to talk to Ewen Clueny about the title, Japanese roleplaying games, and his thoughts on games.

Quick Update

Currently, work on my projects have been delayed due to a mixture of the holidays, graduate school, CPA preparation, and Fallout 4.

I apologize for this delay. Once my last final is over, I will get back to work. I already known how I plan to finish Yokai Blade and Phoenix Rising. Friendship, Effort, Victory’s updates are still in my head as well. Once I have time to really sit down and work, they should all move forward.

In the near future, I’m going to begin linking playtest documents to the related entries in my projects page. Should be a good way to get feedback.
